I have read the link and from what I understand is that the lm358 is designed to have a low cost op amp, single power supply at the expense of quality, and they did it well.
Now from a commercial point of view I conceive it, any saving is an increase in profit, but from a private perspective, hobbystica, I don't agree with the concept of saving cents.
So here the question / doubt arises:
The fact that the circuit works, but wanting to eliminate also those 70mA of minimum adjustable current, it would be enough to change the type of operational?
E se si, what characteristics it should have?

I found this too NDP6020P and if I read correctly :
With a Vgs of -2.5V the Rds is 0.075 ohm while with -4.5 goes down to 0.05 ohm and with a Vgs of -2V it should already deliver more than 5A, net of errors.
