I tried the sensor for dust GP2Y1010AU0F Sharp type and to calibrate and measure directly've used this system in ug / cm, I seek confirmation or denial of what has been done
I wrote the Data_Logger bearing in mind that there’ a difference between the declared sensitivity (0,500V x 100ug/mc) and that always formed on the graph Datasheet (0,572V x 100ug/mc), I wrote 2 Data_Logger
I have connected the sensor to the master as shown in Datasheet isolating it from dust, and measured the output voltage from the sensor (V0), I disconnected the sensor from the Master and connected to a voltage divider with a potenziomero from 10 turns in order to have a max voltage of 1V.
Changed the SensorTrim entry so that the data logger signs 000 applying a voltage equal to (V0), and changed the SensorMultiplier entry so that the data logger signs 100 ug / mc with a voltage of 572 mV for the values obtained from the graph or 500 mV for the sensitivity of 0.5V x 100 and / mc, these corrections are ripettute until the values coincide
A method for detecting changes to the various air speed
Tested without cooling fan and with a view to completely sensor, from these tests from 30 a 70 Km / h, the output voltage varies from 25 a 27 mV – The output voltage from the sensor in the absence of powder are 22 mV
I used the audio program MP3Voice Recorder http://www.downloadblog.it/post/10713/mp3-voice-recorder-registratore-vocale-per-windows and a car with buzzer of exceeding the speed set
I mounted the sensor on the car, connected to the PC and start Hal MP3VoiceRecorder program, set the speed of the car buzzer intervention, I tried to 30/40/50/60/70 Km / h, Data_Logger and started the record in MP3VoiceRecorder program, performed at least 5/6 interventions of the buzzer (the buzzer sound is recorded by the audio program), for each speed save both the audio file and the LOG renaming a folder, it should be performed for the various speed
Gone are the reliefs listen to the audio file and mark the file from the beginning each time the buzzer (windows media player using the time you see on the bottom bar on the left), open the LOG relative and adding time of this media player with the measured time you get to the line of the exact value of the sensor to the speed, Also it should be performed for all speed and then with OpenOffice Calc realize the various graphics

Ciao, we did many experiments with this sensor, we just tried to verify operation with Theremino system. Furthermore, so far no one has written on the subject, so your searches are the most advanced and soon you'll be telling us what we can, and what can not be achieved by this sensor.
Regarding the graphics in messages, I spoke with Amilcare that gave you your rights as an author, so now you can upload pictures and even write articles.
For items you have available a complete editor and it should be easy enough to use it (at most ask me or Amilcare).
Instead to insert images into posts on the forums you must do the following:
1) Load the image using the menu Elettroamici (top left)
2) In the menu choose “Media” and then “Add new”
3) Then use CTRL-C (or other methods) to copy the link to the image.
4) In the message, enter the “TAG” for the image with the link between.

Considering the mean values between the Datasheet (5mV x 1ug/mc) and the values detected by the graph always the datasheet (5,72mV x 1ug/mc) = 5,36mV x 1ug/mc
Output voltage from the sensor in the absence of dust measured on the Master = 10mV pin (V0) (changing the sensor check this value and act accordingly) then the calibration voltage for the Data_Logger is 10mV for 0ug / mc and 814mV for 150ug / mc (5,36 x 150 + 10 = 814mV)
The air must pass freely from the sensor hole without obstacles of any kind, then the fan should only be mounted for stationary detections.
Mounted two electrolytic 470uF from the Master, one on CN3 (power supply for the fan) and one on the in / out pin # 6, because starting / stopping the fan the output voltage from the sensor varied from 10 / 15mV
Procedure to write and calibrate the Data_Logger
1° Connect the sensor to the master as shown in Datasheet isolating it from dust (it closed in a plastic freezer bag type)
2° Measure the output voltage from the sensor (on the Master pin) and remember (V0)
3° Write the Data_Logger whereas zero ug / mc corresponds to the voltage (V0)
4° Disconnect the sensor from the Master and connect a voltage divider composed of a resistor and a 18K potentiometer 10 Enter 5K, in order to have a voltage adjustable from 0 a 1V. circa
5° SensorTrim Change the entry so that the data logger signs 000 applying a voltage equal to (V0)
6° SensorMultiplier Change the entry so that the data logger signs 150 ug / mc with a voltage of 814 mV
7° Repeat steps 5 e 6 until the values coincide
