    Hello forum,
I'm doing some tests with a PIC16F877A. I need to figure out if I have burned the outputs of SCLK and SDA because I am unable to see any results.
Trying to drive a PCF8574 to interface an LCD 16×2, but if I put the logic analyzer on both feet the signal remains high and flat.

If you give me any ideas to try, thank you for your help.

Use the two pins as normal GPIO and make a led blink, so see if they work.

    Thanks Just4Fun,
I didn't get to that point, I was luckier. Now I see the light at the end of the tunnel. The lucky star gives me a hand. Maybe because I changed the pullup resistors from 4k7 to 10k.
I am at the second stage to understand which address I should apply for. If I do the test with arducoso, gives me 0x27, if I do it with the PIC it gives me 0x47.
Eventually I should find the way to turn on the display and see the message 😛

Now it's okay, but it seems that the routines i am using consume too many jumps and i overflow.
